“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” — Psalm 25:5 ESV

Lead me.

These are humbling words.

To be able to say “lead me” we need to recognize that we don’t know the way.

And let’s be honest; no one likes to admit that they are lost and need direction.

And so most of us live our life insisting that we know what we’re doing and where we’re going, without taking the time to pause and ask God, “Lead me.”

Remember this: “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand” (Proverbs 19:21 ESV).

How much would your life change if you paused every day and asked God to lead you?

Here is a simple prayer to carry with you in your comings and goings today:

Breathe in: God,
Breathe out: Lead me.
