November 14 – Teach Me

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.”
— Psalm 25:4 ESV

“Teach me.”

These words are powerful.

So many of us believe we have all the answers. At a minimum we tend to think that our opinion is at least slightly better than that of everyone else.

Here’s the problem: as long as we insist that we have all the answers, we won’t be able to learn anything new.

To say “teach me” is to recognize that we have something to learn.

And that’s the only way to grow.

Rest assured: God is the best teacher there is.

Here’s a simple prayer to carry with you today:

Breathe in: Lord,
Breathe out: Teach me.
