“. . . you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” — Psalm 25:5b ESV
We can wait for many things.
For that promotion that will give us a sense of importance and ease our financial woes.
For that person to finally show us approval and appreciation.
For that diet that will give us the figure we think we need to be loved.
What you are waiting for reveals what you are counting on to turn things around.
Are you looking for salvation in a favorable turn of events? Or are you waiting for the Lord?
We have this promise: “Indeed, none who wait for [God] shall be put to shame” (Ps. 25:3a).
What, or whom, are you waiting for?
Here is a simple prayer to carry with you today:
Breathe in: God,
Breathe out: I wait for you.
