“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
—Psalm 1:3 ESV
This Psalm speaks of the person who delights in the Scriptures and meditates on them day and night.
This person is like a tree planted by streams of water, with constant access to sustenance. No matter the weather that tree will grow, and in its season it will bear fruit.
It is healthy.
When Psalm 1:3 says, “In all that he does, he prospers,” it’s not only talking about material blessing; I believe it is speaking of prosperity of the soul.
Health. Life. Peace.
Abundance.
When we are connected to the right source, we will prosper in everything we do.
My prayer for you is the same as John’s in 3 John 1:2 (NKJV): “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
Here is a simple prayer to carry with you today:
Breathe in: Your Word is my source;
Breathe out: You give me life.
