“Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!”

Just like David, who wrote this Psalm, I think all of us have reached moments when it felt like God was hiding from us.

How refreshing to know that we are not alone.

Characters all over the story of God have been in that place and have attested to the horrors of calling on the Divine and hearing only echoes in return.

If that is your situation today, take heart: you are not alone.

Cry out to God. Tell him what you are feeling.

In due time he will answer.

Don’t forget that he forms our character in the seeking.
