“Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! You have said, ‘Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek.’”
—Psalm 27:7-8 ESV
God has issued an invitation: “Seek my face.”
He has called us to seek him.
David’s response to that call was this: “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
Now, God is present. He is readily available.
But to find him, we must seek him.
Perhaps so many of us feel far from God not because he isn’t near, but because we aren’t actually seeking him.
His invitation remains: “Seek my face.”
How will you respond today?
Here is a simple prayer to carry with you today:
Breathe in: God,
Breathe out: I will seek you.
