“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.”
—Psalm 125:1 ESV
If you’ve ever hiked or climbed a mountain, you’ll know that it won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Any attempt to move it would be completely futile.
That’s how Psalm 125 describes those who trust in the Lord.
But they’re not like just any mountain.
They are like Mount Zion, the highest point in ancient Jerusalem and the place where God’s presence dwelled in a tangible way.
When we trust in the Lord we become like Mount Zion: filled with God’s presence and unshaken by the storms of life.
Here is a simple prayer to carry with you today:
Inhale: I trust you, God;
Exhale: I won’t be moved.
