“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
—Philippians 2:13 NLT

All of us reach moments in our journey where we don’t feel like seeking God.

That is normal.

And if that describes your situation today, I want to point out a simple truth from the Bible that might just revolutionize your relationship with God:

You can ask God to give you the desire to seek him.

Philippians 2:13 clearly tells us that he is the one who gives us the desire and ability to do what is pleasing to him.

Just take a moment to ask him. He will gladly give you that desire.

A word of caution: It might not happen all at once.

Many times you will have to make the conscious choice to seek him despite your feelings.

But as you persist in seeking him, one day you’ll realize that you wouldn’t rather do anything else in the world.

Here is a simple prayer to carry with you today:

Breathe in: Lord,
Breathe out: Give me the desire to seek you.

  1. Sometimes I feel like I’m all alone without any help or support, then I remember that God is always boy your side no matter what happens.
